I lived in this apartment from 2006 – 2010
while studying as an international student
at Tilburg University.
Originally, I planned to rent it for only four months but decided to stay for
the entire four years while completing my degree.
I lived in the ground floor apartment and
really liked the layout.
If I had to
describe the place in four words, it would be:
‘cheerful’, ‘open’, ‘new’, and ‘fresh’.
The apartment was a happy place to live in. It was completely furnished, very clean, and
well-maintained.
The apartment’s location was ideal, and I
came to really appreciate that fact.
Tilburg University, the Tilburg Universiteit
train station, bus stops, the Westermarkt shopping complex
and two supermarkets,
are all just several minutes walking distance away. Getting into the city
center
is easily accessible by many forms of transport.
Despite being so close to ‘everything’, the
surrounding neighborhood was quiet and relatively peaceful.
In front of the apartment (about 14 steps
from the front door) was a grassy, park-like area with
a pond, trees, some
ducks, and a one-winged goose.
Anytime I contacted the landlady with a
question or problem, she responded immediately.
She was always accommodating and very helpful to me during my stay. She was a great landlady to have.
The one thing I liked best and miss the most during my time in the Netherlands is the apartment at Louis Regoutstraat.
